  21.    SetManager (on Aminet) is very cool!  It makes all patches safe, and with
  22. the included SetMan utility, you can get a list of everything that's patched,
  23. and even disable patches with the mouse.  (If you have the Commodore .FD
  24. files, it even shows function names.)
  25.    The only downside is that some programs think it is unsafe to remove their
  26. patches.  Build this into the OS, and the next versions of these programs will
  27. have no problems.

  31.    I used to despise MUI.  Then I decided to give it a real chance, and
  32. downloaded the developer archive.  The programmer's documentation stinks, but
  33. the API is incredible!  I used to spend hours upon hours, just trying to make
  34. a font-sensitive GadTools layout.  I had a good-looking MUI layout running
  35. within 2 hours.  (Well, plenty of BOOPSI programming experience helped.)

  41.    Every lamer with access to Aminet, or even a hex editor, can hack them the
  42. way they are.  Still, going to text-only would be too slow, and incompatible
  43. as well.  It makes no sense to change them.
